The new solid-series are finally here, and we could not be more excited!
After listening to customers' requests, we decided that it was time to expand our broadhead line. We spent the better part of 2021 prototyping and testing new designs for a solid-blade series.
In the end, we settled on the design we felt represented the Tooth of the Arrow brand the best. The new solid, or s-series as we refer to it, is manufactured the same way as our original vented-series (now called v-series).
We start with high carbon steel, mill the broadheads in our Minnesota factory, and then through heat-treat to a Rockwell 40-45.
The blades on the new s-series are still 0.040" thick, and the blade angle stayed the same at 45-degrees.
So what is the difference between the s-series and v-series?
The v-series was originally designed to be the most accurate fixed-blade broadhead. A goal that we feel we accomplished.
For the new s-series, our goal is to create the most durable fixed blade broadhead. Again, a goal that we feel we accomplished.
If your primary want in a broadhead is accuracy, then the v-series is perfect for you. However, if you are willing to sacrifice only a slight bit of accuracy for durability and slightly better penetration, then the s-series is your go-to broadhead.
We look forward to hearing customer feedback.
